<p>The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigerian nationals for the positions below at the Institute’s Headquarters in Ibadan.</p><p><strong>Position:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Strategic Sourcing &amp; Supply Contracts Officer</strong></p><p><strong>Contract:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 3-years renewable contract&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </p><p><strong>Location: Ibadan</strong></p><p><strong>Closing Date: 3 September 2026</strong></p><p></p><p>DUTIES &amp; RESPONSIBILITIES</p><p><strong>Strategic Sourcing and Supplier Engagement</strong></p><ul><li>Assist in the strategic sourcing initiatives of the Institute.</li><li>Raise Requests for Expression of Interest (EOIs), Requests for Information (RFIs), and other relevant sourcing templates.</li><li>Identify potential and reliable suppliers capable of creating and delivering value to the Institute.</li><li>Issue, receive, and analyse responses to requests for proposals from potential suppliers.</li><li>Benchmark suppliers’ portfolios and review supplier performance.</li><li>Develop appropriate sourcing strategies, models, and initiatives to support the Institute’s procurement objectives.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Procurement Planning, Contracting and Supply Chain Coordination</strong></p><ul><li>Compile, analyse, and interpret suppliers’ performance reports using relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).</li><li>Participate in procurement planning activities.</li><li>Negotiate relevant contract terms and conditions with suppliers and service providers.</li><li>Assist in coordinating strategic sourcing initiatives for other stations.</li><li>Progress and monitor outstanding orders to ensure timely delivery of actual requirements.</li><li>Assist in the management of the supply chain website.</li><li>Maintain strategic partners’ files and other relevant documentation.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Strategic Partnerships and Procurement Planning</strong></p><ul><li>Draft Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) for strategic partners.</li><li>Assist in editing the supply chain newsletter.</li><li>Review and assist in the development of specifications, terms, and conditions for procurement activities.</li><li>Support procurement planning with key stakeholders to ensure the timely availability of critical materials and strategic services.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Supplier Evaluation and Contract Management</strong></p><ul><li>Appraise and select new suppliers and update existing supplier records as required.</li><li>Benchmark suppliers’ portfolios using applicable models.</li><li>Conduct spend analysis to assess value, volume, and criticality for effective supplier relationship management.</li><li>Support the development and negotiation of contract terms and conditions relevant to specific contracts.</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>Compliance, Contract Monitoring and Reporting</strong></p><ul><li>Ensure that Institute service providers and suppliers comply with applicable regulatory requirements.</li><li>Assist outstations in the management and monitoring of critical and high-value contracts.</li><li>Receive and interpret data relating to the operational components of the supply chain to prepare and report Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)</li><li>Perform any other duties as directed by the Supervisor</li></ul><p></p>
