Job Description
Educate! is seeking a Strategic Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) Lead to serve as the primary implementor of the MEL coordination for the Leaders in Teaching (LIT) Coordination Platform in Tanzania. The role involves supporting four partner organizations to develop and communicate a shared impact story around Tanzania’s secondary education reform. The MEL Lead will work across LIT organizations, collaborating with the Mastercard Foundation to strengthen alignment on a shared Theory of Change, harmonize indicators and methodologies, coordinate reporting processes, and generate strategic insights that demonstrate collective effectiveness across the partnership.
Responsibilities include:
- Facilitate collaboration among organizations with varying MEL capacities
- Translate diverse data sources into clear and compelling evidence
- Provide flexible MEL advisory support to Educate! on funder-driven MEL priorities
- Support the LIT Coordination Platform and Educate! Tanzania Program
Qualifications and requirements:
- Experience in multi-stakeholder environments
- Ability to navigate complex systems change
- Strong alignment with Theory of Change and indicators
- Proven MEL advisory and reporting experience
Requirements:
- Part-time consultancy commitment of 8–15 hours per week
- Availability for occasional rapid-turnaround requests
- Capacity to conduct virtual meetings during East Africa business hours
