Job Description

MTN is executing and evolving beyond its Ambition 2025 strategy, with Group Enterprise Business positioned as a critical growth engine across 17+ African and Middle Eastern markets. The SM: Commercial Excellence & Programme Office must operate in the following strategic context:

•    MTN's post-Ambition strategy demands accelerated enterprise revenue growth, disciplined commercial governance, and the ability to deploy and track strategic initiatives across geographically and commercially diverse Opcos.
•    MTN's strategic pivot from pure connectivity to integrated ICT and digital services, spanning cloud, cybersecurity, IoT, fintech, and managed services, requires a fundamentally new commercial discipline and programme execution capability to ensure revenue diversification and margin growth.
•    Africa's digital transformation is accelerating, with enterprise clients across all sectors demanding integrated technology partnerships rather than commodity connectivity. MTN Group Enterprise must position itself as the trusted digital transformation partner of choice across the continent.
•    The enterprise revenue growth imperative requires disciplined commercial governance, structured performance management, and clear strategic alignment between Group and Opco commercial teams to ensure consistent execution of revenue targets.
•    Ownership of the Group EBU Annual Planning Cycle, from strategy translation through target-setting, KPI cascade, and budget alignment, is a critical responsibility of this role, ensuring coherence and accountability across all markets.
•    Increasing competitive intensity from global hyperscalers, regional ICT challengers, and niche digital players demands continuous commercial benchmarking, rapid best-practice adoption, and capability maturity acceleration across Opcos.
•    The geographic complexity of MTN's footprint, spanning diverse regulatory, economic, and competitive environments, demands a robust programme management and governance capability to ensure consistent and impactful execution of Group strategic priorities.
•    Achievement of top-quartile operating efficiency requires structured resource optimisation, investment governance, and strategic programme portfolio management to maximise business impact and shareholder value.
