Job Description:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Resident School Nurse - Boarding Matron to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care to students in our boarding facilities. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in nursing and experience in working with children.

Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care to students in the boarding facilities
• Develop and implement nursing care plans for students
• Monitor students' health and well-being
• Administer medications as prescribed by the school doctor
• Maintain accurate records of students' health and medical history
• Collaborate with the school doctor and other healthcare professionals to ensure students receive quality care
• Participate in health education programs for students and staff
• Maintain a clean and safe environment in the boarding facilities
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in nursing
• Registration with the Nursing Council of Kenya
• At least 2 years of experience in nursing
• Experience in working with children
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to adapt to changing situations
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to maintain a clean and safe environment
• Ability to perform other duties as assigned by the school administration
