Tsebo Facilities Solutions is looking for a Plumber to provide plumbing maintenance support through reactive maintenance, planned preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and installations across the site. The role ensures all plumbing systems, fixtures, fittings, and associated infrastructure are maintained safely, efficiently, and in accordance with service level requirements, customer expectations, and Tsebo SHEQ standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintenance Support
  • Perform repairs and installations on plumbing fixtures and fittings.
  • Maintain and repair geysers, taps, urinals, water meters, drainage systems, and related plumbing infrastructure.
  • Undertake planned preventative maintenance activities.
  • Perform reactive and proactive maintenance tasks as required.
  • Carry out general handyman and building maintenance work where required.
  • Ensure all maintenance work is completed safely and professionally.
  • Clean work areas upon completion of tasks.
  • Maintain workshop cleanliness and housekeeping standards.
  • Care for and maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
  • Log maintenance calls through the Helpdesk when required.
  • Complete and submit job cards accurately and timeously.
  • Carry out additional duties as instructed by Management.
• Site Inspections
  • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance inspections.
  • Identify plumbing defects and maintenance risks.
  • Report breakdowns, hazards, and potential failures.
  • Conduct inspections in accordance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
• Customer Service
  • Provide professional and courteous service to clients and site occupants.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests.
  • Communicate effectively regarding work progress and completion.
• SHEQ Compliance
  • Adhere to all Tsebo Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures.
  • Comply with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 requirements.
  • Operate in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Follow safe working practices at all times.

Skills and Competencies

• Plumbing installation and repair.
• Fault finding and problem-solving.
• Preventative maintenance execution.
• Use and maintenance of hand and power tools.
• Basic building, metalwork, and handyman maintenance skills.
• Record keeping and job card administration.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent technical qualification.
• Plumbing Trade Test.

Experience

• 1–2 years' experience in the plumbing and maintenance environment.
• Experience in general plumbing maintenance, including:
  • Geysers
  • Taps
  • Urinals
  • Water meters
  • Drainage systems
  • General plumbing installations and repairs
