Overview of the Inpatient Unit

KNH Prime Care Center has an inpatient unit located on the 9th and 10th floors of the hospital’s Tower block with 224 beds. It includes a Critical Care Unit (CCU), High-Dependency Unit (HDU), maternity, general wards, single rooms, VIP en suite rooms, private rooms, medical wards and surgical wards.

There are various inpatient services offered: Normal delivery, Caesarean section, We have a Lactation lounge for breastfeeding mothers. We offer numerous major and minor Medical & Surgical services that draw together faculty and staff from several departments (a multi-disciplinary team) to enhance patient care and research.

We have two (2) state-of-the-art theatres. Specialized services: Cancer treatment/Oncology services eg: Chemotherapy, Pediatric general & surgical services, Cardiology- Cath lab procedures, Dermatology services, Cardiothoracic & Cardiovascular, ENT, General Surgery, Intervention radiology, Maxillofacial, Neurosurgery, Obstetrics & Gynecology, Ophthalmic surgery, Orthopaedic, Plastic surgery, Urology…among others.

We have various admission rooms as below: General ward, Single rooms, Private rooms, VIP Ensuite rooms, HDU ward, ICU ward.

Visiting hours: 12:30 p.m.- 2p.m., 4:30pm-6 p.m. The KPCC Mental Health Ward is open for admission for staff & the public. The 7-bed inpatient ward is fully equipped to serve both male and female patients.
