About the Role

Fedics is seeking a Wardhostess to work independently on patient wards, serving breakfast, lunch, supper, and snacks in a busy, fast-paced environment.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Serve patients with tea/coffee and alternative snacks
• Fill in menu cards correctly with patient's choice
• Return menu cards to the kitchen promptly
• Update diet lists before meals
• Notify kitchen of diet alterations immediately
• Transport trolleys from the kitchen to wards and back
• Check trays are complete before serving and remove them after use
• Ensure cutlery is washed after every meal and served in cutlery bags
• Maintain a neat and tidy ward kitchen
• Lock away cutlery when not in use

Skills and Competencies

• Ability to work in a pressurised environment
• Good communication skills at all levels
• Knowledge of Fedics Hygiene & Quality Standards
• Well presented, neat, and professional image
• Motivated self-starter
• Able to operate with little supervision
• Flexible in terms of working hours - weekends/public holidays (7-day operation)

Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate
• Previous experience in a hospital environment is advantageous
