Job Description

We need to output clean semantic HTML per rules. Use

for intro paragraphs and general text. Use

for section headers (e.g., Responsibilities, Qualifications, Requirements, Education, Experience, Skills, How to Apply, Key Duties, About the Role). Use
  • for list items (duties, requirements, qualifications, skills). No CSS classes, no inline styles, no
    , no
. Preserve ALL original content word-for-word — do not add, remove, summarise, or rephrase. So we must keep exact text, but we need to convert formatting to HTML tags. However we cannot add or remove content; we can only wrap with tags. Must preserve original content word-for-word, meaning we cannot change wording, but we can replace line breaks with tags? The rule says preserve ALL original content word-for-word — do not add, remove, summarise, or rephrase. That suggests we cannot change the text itself, but we can add HTML tags around it. However we must not add extra text. So we need to output HTML that contains the same textual content as input, but with tags inserted. We must not remove any characters. Also we cannot use
tags. So we need to replace line breaks with appropriate block tags like

    or

  • . But that would be adding tags, not removing text. That's allowed. However we must ensure we don't inadvertently change spacing or add extra spaces. We'll need to parse the input and produce HTML. Input is a mix of

tags etc. But we need to output only HTML, no markdown fences. We must strip existing tags? The instruction: "Return ONLY the HTML. No markdown fences, no explanation, no preamble." It doesn't say to strip existing tags, but we should produce clean semantic HTML. The input already contains some HTML tags like

    , , ,
. We need to convert to our required tags:

    for paragraphs,

    for section headers,
    • for lists. We must preserve content word-for-word, meaning we cannot change the textual content inside tags. We can remove existing tags and replace with our own, as long as we keep the text. So we need to extract the plain text content (excluding tags) and then wrap appropriately. But we must preserve all original content word-for-word: that includes the text inside tags, but not the tags themselves? The original content includes the tags as part of the source. If we remove them, we are removing content (the tags). However the instruction likely means preserve the job description text, not the markup. Usually in such tasks, we strip the given HTML and produce our own semantic HTML. The phrase "Preserve ALL original content word-for-word — do not add, remove, summarise, or rephrase" likely refers to the textual content, not the markup. So we can discard the original tags and produce new tags. Thus we need to extract the plain text from the given snippet, then format. Let's extract the plain text. Given:

Join the team committed to providing the best and safest health and care.

We need to parse sections. Let's extract plain text sequentially, ignoring tags. I'll manually copy text: First block:

We provide meaningful careers that connect people with purpose.

=> "We provide meaningful careers that connect people with purpose."

      empty.

We are united by a common purpose of providing the best and safest care; and by our shared values of Care, Truth, Participation, Compassion and Dignity.

=> "We are united by a common purpose of providing the best and safest care; and by our shared values of Care, Truth, Participation, Compassion and Dignity."

Netcare invites you to be part of our journey.

=> "Netcare invites you to be part of our journey."

empty. Then text: "The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients and will function under the direct and/or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.
The incumbent is held accountable for his/her own acts and omissions.
Nursing activities form part of a nursing regime that is planned and initiated by the Registered Nurse. The Enrolled Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, care and meeting of patient needs and will also be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of appropriate programmes of care to ensuring high quality patient care." So after stripping
we have line breaks but we will treat as sentences. Then

      empty twice. Then

      Role summary:

      => "Role summary:"

empty. Then paragraph: "The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients and will function under the direct and/or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse.  The incumbent is responsible to assist the Anaesthetist during surgical procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort, and providing high-quality anaesthetic care within the operating theatre environment. The incumbent is held accountable for his/her own acts and omissions.
Nursing activities form part of a nursing regime that is planned and initiated by the Registered Nurse.  The Enrolled Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, care and meeting of patient needs and will also be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of appropriate programmes of care to ensuring high quality patient care." So text includes a non-breaking space maybe. Then

      empty. Then

      KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

=> "KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES"

      empty. Then

      CONSISTENCY OF CARE

      => "CONSISTENCY OF CARE" Then

      Administration Management
      • Ensure that all documentation is maintained timeously and accurately, reflecting patient care.
      • Ensure all stock is charged appropriately.
      • Assist with file compilation.

So text: line break, then "Administration Management", line break, then bullet items. We need to treat bullet items as list items. Similarly for other sections. We need to decide on structure: Use

for section headers like "Role summary:", "KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES", "CONSISTENCY OF CARE", "Administration Management", "Governance, quality and risk management", "Patient care", "TRANSFORMATION OF OUR SOCIETY", "Teamwork", "Personal and professional development", "Build and maintain stakeholder relationships", "SKILLS PROFILE". Also maybe initial introductory paragraphs. We need to wrap introductory paragraphs in

. The initial three bold statements could be separate

paragraphs. We also have a paragraph after the initial statements: "The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care..." that's like a description before Role summary. Could be part of introductory paragraph. Then we have "Role summary:" as a header, then paragraph. Then "KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES" as header, then "CONSISTENCY OF CARE" as subheader? Actually it's a bold heading under that. Then under that we have subheadings: Administration Management, Governance, quality and risk management, Patient care. Each with bullet lists. Then "TRANSFORMATION OF OUR SOCIETY" header, then subheadings Teamwork, Personal and professional development, Build and maintain stakeholder relationships. Then "SKILLS PROFILE" header, then list of items (maybe each as

      or

?). The content: "Registration with the South African Nursing Council as an Enrolled Nurse or equivalent NQF 3 qualification." then "Compliance with the SANC code for an Enrolled Nurse and all applicable health care legislation." then "Relevant experience in the nursing discipline would be an advantage". These could be list items. Finally a paragraph: "Join the team committed to providing the best and safest health and care." We must preserve all text exactly, including punctuation and spaces. We need to be careful with non-breaking spaces etc. We'll just copy the text as appears, but we need to strip tags. Let's extract the plain text strings exactly as they appear, preserving spaces and punctuation. I'll go through the input and capture text between tags. I'll write a mental parser but easier: I'll copy the visible text ignoring tags. Start: "We provide meaningful careers that connect people with purpose." (blank line) "We are united by a common purpose of providing the best and safest care; and by our shared values of Care, Truth, Participation, Compassion and Dignity." (blank line) "Netcare invites you to be part of our journey." (blank lines) "The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients and will function under the direct and/or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. The incumbent is held accountable for his/her own acts and omissions. Nursing activities form part of a nursing regime that is planned and initiated by the Registered Nurse. The Enrolled Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, care and meeting of patient needs and will also be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of appropriate programmes of care to ensuring high quality patient care." Note there were two spaces before "The Enrolled Nurse" after the period? Actually original: "...Registered Nurse. The Enrolled Nurse will be responsible..." there were two spaces. We must preserve that. So after the period there are two spaces before "The". We'll keep as is. Then blank lines. "Role summary:" (blank line) "The Enrolled Nurse is responsible for direct and/or indirect nursing care of a patient or group of patients and will function under the direct and/or indirect supervision of the Registered Nurse. The Enrolled Nurse will be responsible for the assessment, care and meeting of patient needs and will also be responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of appropriate programmes of care to ensuring high quality patient care." Need to check spaces: there is a non-breaking space after "Nurse." maybe. We'll just keep as normal space. Then blank line. "KEY WORK OUTPUT AND ACCOUNTABILITIES" (blank line) "CONSISTENCY OF CARE" (blank line) then a line break then "Administration Management" then line break then bullet items. Let's capture that section exactly: After "CONSISTENCY OF CARE" we have

        Administration Management
        • Ensure that all documentation is maintained timeously and accurately, reflecting patient care.
        • Ensure all stock is charged appropriately.
        • Assist with file compilation.

So the text inside that p is: line break, then "Administration Management", line break, then "• Ensure that all documentation is maintained timeously and accurately, reflecting patient care.", line break, then "• Ensure all stock is charged appropriately.", line break, then "• Assist with file compilation." We need to preserve the bullet characters "•". So we will keep them. Then next p: "

        Governance, quality and risk management
        • Maintain a therapeutic, clean and safe environment that is free from medico-legal hazards.
        • Adhere to Netcare medical waste management principles and all other waste management principles.
        • Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with the Machinery and Occupational Safety Act.
        • Report potential/actual risks identified.
        • Ensure all stock is well controlled.
        • Responsible for ensuring correct use, cleaning and storage of equipment.
        • Report equipment needing repair or replacement to sister-in-charge.
        • Maintain professional conduct and standards at all times in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
        • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
        • Acts in a supervisory capacity over ENA’s.

" Text: line break, then "Governance, quality and risk management", line break, then bullet lines. Next p: "

        Patient care
        • Practice patient care according to his/her Scope of Practice and assume total responsibility for these activities.
        • Contribute to the holistic care of patients.
        • Participate in ward/unit’s quality improvement programme.
        • Attend handover of report at shift commencement.
        • Effective communication with patients’ regarding their care.
        • Promotion of patient overall health and wellbeing.

        • Practice the principles of infection prevention and all standard precautions.
